Processing of Personal Data
EMA Safety Shoes (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") processes personal data in compliance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (hereinafter referred to as the "Law"). Personal data processing activities are conducted lawfully, fairly, accurately, and where necessary, updated; for specific, explicit, and legitimate purposes; limited and proportionate to the intended purposes; and retained only for the duration stipulated by laws or required by the purpose of processing, as per Article 20 of the Turkish Constitution and Article 4 of the Law.
This Clarification Text has been prepared in line with Article 10 of the Law on the "Obligation of the Data Controller to Inform" and relevant regulations.
1. Definitions
a. Data Controller: The individual or entity determining the purposes and means of personal data processing and responsible for establishing and managing the data recording system.
b. Personal Data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable real person, such as name, surname, date of birth, physical and economic characteristics, family information, phone number, and identification number.
c. Special Categories of Personal Data: Sensitive information, including racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, philosophical beliefs, religion, sect, clothing, association or union memberships, health, sexual life, criminal convictions, security measures, biometric, and genetic data.
d. Data Recording System: A structured system where personal data is processed according to specific criteria, established in either physical or electronic environments.

- The purposes outlined in the Company’s Personal Data Processing Policy.
6. Rights of the Data Subject Under Article 11 of the Law
As per Article 11 of the Law, data subjects have the right to:
- Learn whether their personal data is being processed,
- Request information if their data has been processed,
- Learn the purpose of data processing and whether it is used accordingly,
- Know the third parties to whom data has been transferred domestically or abroad,
- Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data,
- Request deletion or destruction of personal data as per Article 7,
- Request notification of these actions to third parties,
- Object to outcomes resulting exclusively from automated data processing,
- Seek compensation for damages due to unlawful processing.
7. Application to Exercise Rights
Requests under the Law can be submitted:
- In writing,
- Via secure electronic signature,
- Through methods specified by the Personal Data Protection Board (Board).
- Applications can be sent to the Company at the provided contact details.
- The Company will respond to your requests within 30 days, free of charge. If the request incurs additional costs, a fee may be charged as determined by the Board.
